Class Information for Summer Free: WATER RESOURCES and CONSERVATION 101, 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Wednesday, August 8, RH Johnson Lecture Hall (SF205)
This class will provide an overview of Sun City West’s water resources, looking at current and future water supplies. Additionally, we will talk about some at-home conservation methods, with a focus on outdoor water use. Did you know that up to 70% of your household’s water use can be attributed to your landscape? We will cover xeriscaping tips to help you learn how to efficiently water your landscape while helping your plants thrive in a desert environment!
Instructor Heather Turrentine is a Water Resource Analyst for EPCOR Water where she coordinates water resources and conservation programs for customers. She holds a BS in Environmental Science & Policy and a MS in Sustainability, with a focus on conservation psychology. She is passionate about helping people find ways to reduce their environmental impacts.
